Bristol Rovers manager Steve Evans has set his sights on promotion next season.
What's the goal?
Evans' new deal, which runs until 2028, was announced on Saturday with a presentation on the pitch before their League Two win against Crawley at the Memorial Stadium. The 63-year-old has transformed the Gas since his appointment in December, securing their position in the division and they go into Saturday's trip to Tranmere on a six-game winning run.
Current form
As of 26 Jun 2026, Bristol Rovers stand 14th in League Two, with 62 points from 46 games, having won 19, drawn 5, and lost 22, with a recent form of DWWWW. Their last result was a 1-1 draw against Notts County on 2026-05-02.
Transfer plans
Evans described his time at the club so far as really tough and stressful but that it would only help them in the long run going into this summer's transfer window. | Category | Stat | | --- | --- | | League standing | 14th | | Points | 62 | | Recent form | DWWWW |
What comes next?
Evans said work has already begun in earnest for the summer transfer window and pre-season schedule. The team has identified three or four players for every position they want to add or strengthen. With their current goal difference of -9, having scored 56 goals and conceded 65, they will be looking to improve their defense and offense.
