Bristol Rovers will discover their Emirates FA Cup first-round opponent tonight after being assigned ball number seven in the draw. The tie is scheduled for the weekend of November 7, with the draw show starting at 6.30pm BST.

The club enters the competition at this stage alongside all other League One and League Two sides and 32 non-league survivors, making a total of 80 teams. The draw will be hosted by Matt Smith, with former England internationals Martin Keown and Fara Williams conducting the draw live on TNT Sports 1 and its digital platforms.

Bristol Rovers' recent form in League Two has seen them lose their last four matches, a run that includes a 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury Town last Saturday. That result leaves the Gas ninth in the table with 15 points from 11 games, seven points behind leaders Salford City. Their overall record this season is five wins and six losses, with 15 goals scored and 18 conceded. This poor run of form, which stands at one win and four losses in the last five games, began after a 1-0 win over Exeter City on 26 September and includes subsequent losses to Crewe, Wycombe, Barnet, and Shrewsbury. In the 1-3 home defeat to Barnet on 10 October, Ellis Harrison scored Rovers' only goal; he is the team's top scorer this season with 11 goals.

Last season, Rovers exited the competition in the second round with a 1-0 defeat at Port Vale. Their best FA Cup performance remains the quarter-finals, a stage they last reached in the 2007/08 season. There will be no replays in this season's first round, meaning any drawn match will go straight to extra time and penalties.

The full list of clubs in the draw includes Accrington Stanley, AFC Wimbledon, Barnet, and Barnsley, through to non-league sides like Harborough Town and Chorley. Supporters can follow updates on the club's official website once the draw is made. Bristol Rovers' next match is at the Mem against Salford City on Tuesday night, a fixture that takes place today, Saturday 17 October, and pits the ninth-placed side against the league leaders.
